In addition to its contribution to project success, knowledge sharing plays a critical role in promoting innovation, developing organizational agility and generating overall organizational value. Hofstedes initial six key dimensions include power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism-collectivism, masculinity-femininity, and short vs. long-term orientation. These four organisation types are applied to the scenarios described in the final chapter. In contrast, in countries with a low ranking on the power distance dimension with a low need to avoid uncertainty about the future such as Britain, Australia and New Zealand, the typical organisation type will be implicitly structured, and is known as the market model (Hofstede 2001: 377).
