Swim: The weather in 2018 made the swim an absolute nightmare, however in normal weather the swim would be excellent! There will not be too much vehicle traffic on the course, but be alert for large farm equipment as you traverse the Wisconsin dairy land. Riders leave Madison to the south using the Capital City Bike Path and travel scenic country roads through the Village of Oregon and west over the challenging Observatory Hill. Swimmers will start on Olin Park Beach and finish at the concrete boat ramp navigating the counter-clockwise course marked with buoys every 100 yards.
