Supporting the Coral Conservation Team, the primary function of the Coral Nursery Intern is to provide care of adult and juvenile corals being raised at the Coral Care Complex in Apollo Beach. The Aquarium Internship will provide valuable experience in several areas of biology while working hands-on with a variety of aquatic species and reptiles. WebClearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) offers structured internships to current full-time or part-time college students (or recent graduates within 12 months of course completion) that will directly benefit their education and ultimately their career. WebThese specialized internships are designed to provide valuable hands-on experience at an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited, world-class facility. Intern responsibilities include cleaning aquarium systems and cleaning coral settlement tiles using a dissecting microscope. A Day of Discovery provides an Aquarium experience specifically tailored to individuals with sensory differences and their families. WebThe Coral Research Intern will be responsible for the care of adult and juvenile corals that are being raised at The Florida Aquariums Conservation Campus in Apollo Beach. Close to 200 college students and recent college graduates participate in this program annually.
